The Australian Car Wash Association (ACWA) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Perth on Wednesday 15 November, 2023.
ACWA President Neil Fox addressed the members, highlighting ACWA’s robust financial position and acknowledging the exemplary service of outgoing Treasurer Tony Young. Under Young’s tenure, ACWA transformed from a loss position in 2016 to a current state of significant financial strength.
Neil Fox went on to praise the positive impact of outgoing Treasurer Tony Young, stating, “Tony Young has been a driving force behind ACWA’s financial success. His diligent stewardship has played a pivotal role in transforming ACWA’s financial position, allowing us to consider larger and more strategic projects on behalf of our members. We express our deepest appreciation for his dedication and service.”
The AGM also saw the conduct of elections for Board positions, with several directors whose three-year terms had expired seeking re-election. All incumbent directors were unanimously re-elected for another three-year term. Joining them is new director, Rory Hilton from Car Wash Sales and Advisory.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who stood for re-election. Your continued dedication is crucial to the ongoing success of our association,” said Neil Fox. “We are also delighted to welcome Rory Hilton to our Board. His recent experience in the car wash industry and the strategic insights he has developed in high-profile roles in industrial capital markets and property will be of profound value to the continued success of ACWA.”
